InstaFree Review: The Best Free Web Hosting Service, Ever.

Review

[Update: May, 2018] I have moved all of my websites to SiteGround’s GrowBig plan and life has been great ever since. If you’re obsessed with SPEED (without paying high cost) – like I am – then you should use the GrowBig or GoGeek plan at SiteGround! (60% Off Discount Link).
You may check out my in-depth SiteGround review to know more.

This is my detailed InstaFree review where I will provide an inside look into InstaFree web hosting service. All the opinions below are my own and unbiased.

I have been lurking in the world of web making for almost 2 years now. As a student with no budget, my journey started with a cheap domain purchase (using coupons), and on 000webhost – a popular ‘free webhost’. Unfortunately, 000webhost has this tendency to crash your website hundred times every day whenever you are trying to edit, update, tweak your WordPress posts.  PLUS, 000webhost shows you their Ads all across the cPanel, and as if that wasn’t enough — when your site crashes, it redirects to their homepage for 24 hours! I also came across 2freehosting. Co-incidence: 2FH was just taking off at that time and perhaps had low load on its servers. The performance was good. I was happy, for about 3 months (check my 2freehosting review), until ‘high CPU usage’ errors came to haunt again.

Then I found InstaFree on Webhostingtalk and decided to give it a shot.

Number of high CPU usage errors I have had on InstaFree: 0
Number of ’24-hours-redirect-to-webhost’s-homepage’: 0
Number of Ads: 0
My time on InstaFree: 6+ months and counting

Just to give you a hint what you can achieve with InstaFree, one of my websites had 146,000+ hits in June-July 2014. Similarly, another one had 91,000 hits in December 2014. And the servers weren’t even tested to their limit.
I have never had server issues…AT ALL 🙂

InstaFree Review | Reasons I love It:

  • Their support is top-class. No kidding. I have had some problems during installation and Bryan (administrator) always replied within an hour with solutions.
  • No Ads! I personally love this point. Literally there are no Ads, not sure how they profit from their business. But I like them for their great service.
  • You get to work with real propriety cPanel, unlike the “cpanel clones” provided by 2HF and 000webhost (just to name a few).
  • Their raid servers are kick-ass fast, they provide us ample bandwidth, space, inodes, etc.
  • You’ll have no issues running vBulletin, WordPress, or any scripts at all. The servers are that good!
  • If you want to upgrade, it is only $1/Mo!

FreeEats Review And Experiences

Review

Welcome to our FreeEats review where I will walk you through the whole get-paid-to-view service. I signed up on FreeEats a week ago and my experience with it so far has been a delight!

Tip: Besides FreeEats, if you have a .EDU email address, you can also earn some extra money online with MindSumo. For that, check out our full MindSumo review.

What is FreeEats?

FreeEats reviewFreeEats is like AdSense (more like survey websites) where advertisers pay users to take surveys or view ads. The difference is that FreeEats uses our cellphone and hence the surveys come to us (via Texts) rather than us going online to look for surveys. It’s a Paid-To-View business. Even if we completely ignore those texts, we get $0.25 each just for receiving them. If we want to stop the texts or pause the service, we have to reply “STOP” to one of those texts.

I tried FreeEats and made $2.25 within my first half an hour. Payment was instant with no minimum cashout amount, via Paypal. It didn’t require any work at all. Altogether I have earned $13.5 in the past 3 days. I can attest that FreeEats is really great for those with unlimited cellphone plans, as it requires no effort.

If you are ready to earn, Sign up here.

Both you and I get $1 each if you signup via my ref link.
After you’ve signed up, FreeEats will send you a text message with confirmation link in it. Follow the link to complete registration. I am not the owner of freeeats and have no relation with it. All these are my own unbiased opinions.

NOTES:
There’s no minimum cash out amount. (Which I found cool!)
They transfer the amount directly into your Paypal. Enter your Paypal email at sign up.
Earn $1 for signup; then $0.25 for each text you receive
(plus $1 more if you do the surveys)
First 25 survey takers get $10 for the survey, the others after that get $1 for the survey.
(It’s always good to do the survey as soon as you get the text.)
If you don’t do the surveys, you still get the $0.25 which goes straight to Paypal.
They send about 1 or 2 texts every day.

T-Mobile users are having some troubles getting the texts. Depending upon where you live, sometimes the texts can take long to deliver. Have patience.

MindSumo Review: Legit Platform That Pays You For Ideas

Review

MindSumoUpdated December 2017.
Backed by Voyager Capital, Google Ventures, Data Collective, and StartFund, MindSumo is an online platform where students get money for proposing solution to interesting real-world challenges. The company was founded in 2011 and is located in San Francisco, CA. It participated in StartX, the Stanford Student Startup Accelerator, and launched at Stanford in February 2012.

I’ve received some good comments from friends and strangers about this post. Thank you everyone! I hope this MindSumo summary and review guide will help many more to join this amazing platform, solve challenges, learn some stuff and earn pocket money.

Is MindSumo legit?

Yes! MindSumo is legit and safe. It is mainly meant to be used by college students and alumni. However anyone can use it, submit their solutions and win money. Even international students can sign up! You no longer need to have a .EDU email address. If you do have a .edu email address then it is good to use that email to sign up because you can then be directed to solve school specific challenges, if there are any available.

If you’re reading this, I assume you are someone with curiosity, creativity, writing skills, innovative thinking, and you are willing to learn from past winner’ solutions to improvise your own proposals. So let me guide you through the process how you can build your resume as well as make pocket money without hard labor.

How can users earn money on MindSumo?

Users can make money by solving challenges on the platform. New challenges and prize money are added every week. When a challenge is completed, the company hosting the challenge takes some time (usually 2 weeks) to review all the solutions that have been submitted. They then select the designated number of winners to receive prizes based on creativity, relevance, and feasibility. The winners are then notified via email, and can redeem their prize money through the MindSumo payment system. The winning probability is 50% because the top 50% of the submissions get rewarded with points. Points can be exchanged for Paypal cash. The amount of points depends upon how many submissions are there. But since there’s no limit on the number of challenges you can participate, you can create a win-win situation for yourself by participating more.

A solution is an essay, or paragraphs. (You DO NOT have to implement or execute, you are only required to propose.) If you can propose a simple, legit and feasible method to solve the given challenge, that’s a job well done. Also, since the company understands that we are students, not professionals; there’s less competition among participants.

Complete these steps to earn your $80 first:

1. Visit www.mindsumo.com (Click to open in a new tab)
2. Use your .EDU email address and sign up using promo code “HOWARD”.
Using promo code HOWARD gives you extra $5 during sign up.
3. Check your email and verify your signup. ($30 signup reward for successful verification.)
4. After you login, you should now see $35 on your rewards page.
5. Link your LinkedIn account with MindSumo account for $5.
6. Become campus ambassador, for another $15.
7. Submit 1st challenge and receive $25, might take about 20 minutes.
(Also, if this solution wins, you’ll later get additional cash for it!)

You now have $80. Solve additional challenge that sounds interesting, and earn $50-$500 per win.
You can also win varying amounts for solving the math puzzles, sharing products and writing reviews. For reviews, get upvoted for points. Top influencers get paid to promote their favorite products.

Tip: The reward for promoting products is $10 each.

MindSumo Challenges

MindSumo challenges

As shown above, there are always challenges to solve on MindSumo. Users can solve as many challenges as they can. For example in the example above, the top 50% of the submissions will receive in total $1600 reward prize money. The better the solution, the higher is the chunk of the reward won.

MindSumo Cashout

Cashout on MindSumo is done through PayPal. You can cash out at every $5 or more.

My Honest 2FreeHosting Review: It Is Free, But Is It Good?

Review

[Update: May, 2018] In March of 2016, I moved all of my websites to SiteGround’s GrowBig plan and life has been great ever since. If you’re obsessed with SPEED (without paying high cost) – like I am – then you should use the GrowBig or GoGeek plan at SiteGround! (60% Off Discount Link). You may check out my in-depth SiteGround review to know more.

This is my honest 2FreeHosting review after I have been a customer at 2freehosting.com for both their free and premium web hosting plans for about 6 months. 2FreeHosting, founded in 2011 by Fran Villalba Segarra (COO) and Lewis M. (CEO), first located in Lithuania and is now available all around the globe. It has already got over 300,000 satisfied customers.

I have several domains that I am hosting on free plan (and premium plan*) at 2freehosting. My website is not too light. It isn’t much heavy either. I expect around 5K views per month. This is my first month with 2freehosting.

So, the deal?

Free service with some catch
Right, it is free web hosting. You get what you pay for.

Free subdomains
In case if you do not have your own domain (.com .net .org etc), you can easily choose from several extensions like .yzi.me and ciki.me. Or you could get a free .tk domain and host that as well. There are practically no limitations here.

Very easy learning curve
Most beginners’ nightmare are jargons like CPanel, MySQL, phpMyAdmin and Databases. When you start using them, it is much like copying files from your pendrive to portable hard drive. Pendrive being your content and hard drive the webserver. Everything in between is butter. 2freehosting makes it easier by keeping things simple with a really intuitive back-end design.

No Ads on your website (BUT…)
There are ads on your CPanel. I guess displaying Adsense ads on your backend control panel is their revenue model.

Basics are available
Webmail with Roundcube and Squirrel mail clients. Subdomains. Unlimited domains. An auto installer that can set you up in minutes with Blogs, CMS Portals, E-stores, Forums, E-galleries. (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Prestashop, phpBB, SMF, Coppermine, Jcow, hell lot of bunch of other stuffs).

Dosh App Review & Referral Link (for $15 signup bonus)

Review

No wonder Dosh App is #1 on the app store right now. Sign up using my referral link and get $5 for free.

I have been using Dosh app for a while now. I really like the concept of Dosh because it does not require conscious effort, finds deals & discounts for me, and gives me cash back on my everyday purchases.

Dosh app

What is Dosh App?

Do$h is a smartphone app which gives you cash back rewards on your purchases. The best part that distinguishes Dosh from other rivals is that once you link your credit cards or debit cards in the app, all the purchases you make with those cards will earn you cash WITHOUT having to manually scan receipts ever. The ease of use is there. The user interface is sleek. It is easy to use and gradually earn some passive beer money (money that comes and goes).

This is what their website says: “Dosh puts money back into the pockets of consumers and businesses alike using breakthrough technology to eliminate the wasted spend from advertising and most transactions. Dosh searches for cash and chases it down – relentlessly searching out offers to give cash back to users. No cutting coupons, no scanning receipts, no searching for offers. Dosh users simply spend as they normally would and watch the cash pile up.”

Dosh provides shopping rewards just like the Honey browser extension does. But Dosh also gets its users deals on hotel booking and car rentals while still giving substantial cash back to travelers. It puts the typical profit that hotels and online travel sites make back in the pockets of Dosh users. It is a mashup of Groupon with cash back feature. I can see it becoming very popular and mainstream in the future.

How to earn money from Dosh App?

All you really need to do is link your credit/debit cards and you are automatically earning cash back from purchases.
